Pensacola, FL - Highpointe Hotel Corporation, the management company for five area hotels including Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pensacola Beach, Residence Inn Downtown Pensacola, Hampton Inn Pensacola Airport and Homewood Suites Pensacola Airport, won several prestigious awards at their brand conferences earlier this year.

At Hilton Hotel Corporation’s National Conference, held at the New Orleans Convention Center in January, all Highpointe properties were awarded for superior performance. Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach and Hampton Inn Pensacola Airport were Lighthouse Award winners, ranking 44th and 46th respectively out of over 1,000 Hampton Inns worldwide. The Lighthouse Award recognizes hotels in the top 5% of their chain based on customer survey responses on product and service along with required superior grades on hotel inspections. Highpointe’s newest property, Homewood Suites Pensacola Airport, was awarded Top New Hotel Performer in the Homewood Suites chain including over 130 hotels.

At the Marriott Residence Inn conference held in San Francisco in February, Residence Inn Downtown Pensacola was the big winner, named a Marriott Gold Hotel, which represents 92% overall Guest Satisfaction, and also bringing home awards for #1 Breakfast scores, highest occupancy and most improved extended-stay percentage. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pensacola Beach, one of only two Marriott properties on the beach of the Gulf Coast, was awarded #1 Overall Breakfast in competition with over 100 hotels in the chain.

A major highlight of the Hilton Conference came on the final evening, when Darryl Lapointe, Highpointe Hotel Corporation founder and president, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award celebrating his many contributions to the hotel industry over the years.
